Biblical Queen Sheba Died And Buried In Nigeria.

A site, hidden away in the dense rain forests of south-western Nigeria is believed to be the burial ground of the biblical Queen of Sheba. This burial site is itself located within a large area which is surrounded by the ancient Eredo earthwork and is believed to be the wealthy Queen Sheba’s Lost Kingdom. The small, sleepy village of Oke-Eiri, located on the outskirts of Ijebu Ode, in Ogun State, hosts this burial site of the ancient Queen, and has been the destination of local pilgrims for centuries who come to pay homage to the sleeping legend. The Christian Bible described the queen as a woman of immense power, intellect and wisdom, who came to visit King Solomon when she heard of his outstanding wisdom. It was recorded that she came with “a very great caravan of camels, carrying spices, large quantities of gold and precious stones”. It was also stated that “never again where so many spices brought into Israel as those the Queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon”. In Islamic tra

WHY DO MEN GET BREAST CANCER?

Image
Moses Musonga never thought men could get breast cancer until he was diagnosed with the disease. The 67-year-old Kenyan told MIDESPEAKS that he was in profound shock when doctors told him in 2013 that he had stage-three breast cancer, turning his life upside down. "I was in denial and wondered why such a disease, which is not male-oriented, had singled me out of millions of men in the world," Mr Musonga said. It all started with a painless lump in his right nipple that grew larger as time went by. Then came the nipple discharge and occasional chest pains. Doctors kept on giving Mr Musonga, a father of five, painkillers to treat something they were unsure about. And despite the fact that his breasts were unusually bigger than those of most men, Mr Musonga never thought it was anything to worry about. He sought medical help when the skin on his right breast began to ulcerate. Tests on a tissue sample confirmed that Mr Musonga had breast cancer. "I hadn

'Ghost' human ancestor discovered in West Africa

Image
A mysterious "ghost population" of now-extinct ancient human-like creatures may have interbred with early humans living in West Africa, scientists say. Researchers suggest DNA from this group makes up between 2% and 19% of modern West Africans' genetic ancestry. They believe the interbreeding occurred about 43,000 years ago. Scientists found links to the Mende people of Sierra Leone, Yoruba as well as Esan people in Nigeria, plus other groups in western areas of The Gambia. It suggests that ancestors of modern West Africans interbred with a yet-undiscovered species of archaic human, similar to how ancient Europeans mated with Neanderthals, and Oceanic populations with Denisovans. The research sheds more light on how archaic hominins added to the  genetic variation of present-day Africans, which has been poorly understood  even though it is the most genetically diverse continent. Hundreds of thousands of years ago there were several different groups of human

A White Room.

A white room. Something like this. Known as white torture, it’s one of the most devastating forms of psychological torture. Why? Doesn’t seem all that bad, right? Wrong. This room is the epitome of sensory deprivation and isolation. Did I mention that it’s also soundproof? It erases your very sense of reality. Imagine being in a room that’s only white, where that’s the only “color” you ever see. You’re never allowed to talk to  anyone,  your food is white rice, and the surfaces are all smooth. It deprives you of all 5 of your senses. Wouldn’t that drive you insane? Let me elaborate. In the 1970s,   German terrorist Astrid Proll was imprisoned in a white torture room for almost 5 months. During that time, she experienced hallucinations, starvation, disequilibrium, insomnia, trembling, and even convulsions. And after visits to her room, she couldn’t tell whether an hour or a week passed after as little as 30 minutes. Irani student Amir Fakhravar was also trapped in

She even cleans her living ''twin'' and cuts their finger nails for them.  But Veronica is now finally set to live a normal life after locals raised money and officials organized for her to fly to neighboring Thailand for an operation.  Veronica said: ''When I was little, I thought it was just a foot.
